Criterion is a strategy and advisory practice helping nonprofits and mission-driven businesses build stronger, more sustainable organizations.

We work with leaders when the path forward is unclear, fundraising or revenue needs to become more sustainable, communications are not supporting organizational goals, or good ideas need a practical strategy for implementation.

Our work includes organizational strategy and planning, revenue and fundraising strategy, grant program development, and strategic communications and messaging. We also help organizations connect work that is often treated separately, including fundraising, programs, governance, and communications.

Criterion brings nearly 20 years of consulting experience and nearly 30 years of nonprofit-sector experience to every engagement. We listen first, build from what is already strong, and develop practical strategies organizations can actually use.
